Private therapy can seem a worrying and scary service - what will they ask, what is expected, what will happen. In reality, therapy is a safe space to explore, learn and talk.
With private therapy, it is a mental health service that is conducted by a qualified therapist within a private setting/organisation. Your child/young person can access one-to-one sessions with their therapist online or in person. Sessions are person-centred, meaning, these sessions are for your child/young person, and we want you and them to feel as comfortable as possible.

How can I pay for private therapy?
You can pay for private therapy independently and potentially through private insurance dependent on their policies. At bMindful, we can work session by session to align with what can work best for you.
Why might I decide to explore private therapy for my child/young person?
NHS publication Mental Health of Children and Young People in England 2023, presented that 1 in 5 children and young people experienced a probable mental health disorder in 2023.
At some point during through life transitions, children and young people may struggle with their mental health and emotional regulation. This can be confusing and difficult for them, including yourself as parents/carers - in knowing how to best navigate through this with them.
The benefit of private therapy is less time on waiting. Waiting for consultations, waiting to book in sessions, waiting lists. Private therapy enables you to receive the support you are looking for sooner with qualified and trusted professionals.
